Fish Report
Water levels have actually dropped over the last few days and it is amazingly clear. There are plenty of quality fish around and it is fishing well. There is still no dry fly fishing as there is so much food in the water but the nymph fishing has been really quite good!  (When the conditions are such that dry fly fishing is not possible, the ranch manager has the option to allow nymphing until conditions improve for dry fly fishing) No Streamers. The quality of the fish right now is awesome! The flies that have worked best this week are bead-head pheasant tails, zebra midges, prince nymph, flashback scuds and San Juan worms. Bring your knee high boots or waders, it's a bit wet out there. The GREAT news is that we are finally getting that much needed flushing flow that is so important for the health of the stream. Please know how much we appreciate everyone's support of the ranch in these times when fishing may be more difficult that others. I know for sure that the water we get this spring will ensure great fishing for years to come!
Stay tuned as I update this report when conditions change.

As always, the Fly Shop is well stocked with all of the best flies, leaders, tippet, gink, powder shake, and most anything else you will need to make the best of you day on the water. We also carry Tee shirts, Simms fishing shirts and hats, sun gloves, buffs and nets. For those of you who are new to spring creek fishing or might just want a “tune up”, we have the best guides in California to make it all happen.
We look forward to seeing you here at the ranch!
